This is a good product if you do not want unsightly sticky tape at the sides and in view. It is very tricky to use. Even though I had a helper to hold the background I could still not manage to attach it without bubbles of air between the glass and the background despite taking plenty of time. 5ft long aquarium did not make it easy. You cannot feel or see the air bubbles on the outside but once aquarium filled you can see them like little mirrors through the water. Looking straight on you are still aware but not as much. Once the planting grows to cover the rear it won't matter. All in all I much prefer that the background is stuck to the glass without sticky tape which always becomes unsightly after time. You need plenty of time and patience but all in all I believe it's worth the cost and time.Read full review

Really hard, really hard to get bubbles out just not worth the hassle. I ended up putting in the bin and getting frosted window film for fraction of the price applied with water so no extra glue costs and it was easy simple no bubbles and looks amazing and allows led back light which looks great in the tank. Save your yourself money time hassle and go for simple glass frost film (comes in solid black also)

Very good product, some people have had difficulty with this, but for me it worked first time. What I did was take the lid off and apply it straight to the back of the tank, pressing the tube firmly against the glass smearing it with glue but allowing small amounts to seep through as required to ensure the whole surface had been covered. Literally only a thin layer is needed, don't over apply the glue (think I used about a 1/3 on 30" tank). I then slid the background into position and used the packaging cardboard to squeeze the air bubbles out. Don't expect to get every bubble out, you won't, squeeze out what you can. The edges wouldn't stay down so I used a bit of cello-tape (not too sticky) to stick tabs to the edges of the background and glass to aid adhesion, then left it for 48 hours. End result was a smooth fully stuck on background with no air bubbles!Read full review

This arrived in good condition but the instructions were very vague. I applied it evenly to the poster and pressed it on the tank. It works really well in that the poster stays in place but there is copious amounts of gel seeping on to my table cloth and ruins all my paper work. I only used a little bit of the gel very sparingly so I am not sure what I've done wrong. I am a novice with all this so would appreciate any kind, useful feedback.

I followed the instructions to the letter and still ended up with bubbles all over the background of my nice new tank. I've stripped the background of and restuck mutiple time but still can't get it right. I'm hoping that eventually the bubbles will just disperse but no sign of that yet a month later. I've heard other people recomend using various light oils (from cooking oil to WD40) It's worth a try but don't spend 6 or 7 quid on tthis.
