An easy repair and much cheaper than buying new door handles
I have identical door handles all over my property, so when the springs recently broke in one of them I was worried I may have to have non matching handles, but these springs got me up and running again. Before buying any springs you need to take your door handle apart to check if your springs have 2, 2 and a quarter, or 2 and a half turns. Then make sure you order the same type of springs. I also found I had to buy a pair of circlip pliers to remove and replace the circlip that holds the springs in place. But nevertheless a lot cheaper than buying new door handles and you only need to buy the pliers once. Great fix
Yes, those lever latch handles that contractors fit to modern pressed panel doors beloved of Victorian, Georgian or Edwardian styles... each handle has a coil spring which eventually fractures leaving the tubular latch itself trying to hold the door closed and usually having difficulty doing so. You could buy new handles but it is often worthwhile changing the coil springs on your old handles. These are not often stocked by high street stores. Remove a handle and you will see the spring behind a limiting washer held in place by a circlip. Removing the circlip is easier if you have a pair of circlip removal pliers handy. Take note of the coils that make up the old spring, usually there are two and a half, and also check the dimensions to compare against the suppliers sizing... be aware ... If your original spring is slightly thinner, the handle may bind instead of restoring smoothly as happened with these slightly thicker replacements. A workaround is to ease either the shoulder of the handle or the circlip groove itself using a small warding file until the handle operates as it should. Applying silicone grease to these moving parts is a good plan. Result... Handles that work properly and doors that latch shut as they should. Be aware that on heavily used doors the tubular latch may have badly worn at the actuator end so it may be worth changing it at the same time. Make sure you buy the correct size.

Replacement door handle springs - much cheaper than replacing the complete door handle assembly.
The springs were not an exact fit for my door handle, but it was easy enough to break off a small section of the spring and put a bend in it. I only needed 2 springs, but had to order 10. The shipping was prompt and reasonable. Replacing the broken springs is much cheaper than replacing the entire door handle assembly.

Good quality replacement springs
These are good quality replacement springs and enable matching door handles to be kept. When a spring breaks the original type of handle never seems still to be available just a lighter, inferior one. So in addition to saving a lot of dosh they enable the original, superior handles to be kept.

Fix not buy new.
These springs have saved me a lot of money, and stress. The door handles in my home I love, but had them over 25 years. 5 of them had broken springs, wasn't sure if I could get the same handles after all this time. These springs have made them as good as New! A fabulous product. Highly recommended for anyone with door handles. A+++++++
