      Romanticized version of Thomas Edison's life, performed with style by Spencer Tracy

      Good quality DVD. An important film if you are a Spencer Tracy fan. Edison was a very great man in history, and Mr. Tracy gave the character his best performance to bring Mr. Edison to life for all to enjoy. Bravo!

      The title is a metaphor for the person behind so many inventions.

      This is one of Spencer Tracy's best roles and an excellent portrayal of Thomas Edison and shows the patience and perseverance that Edison demonstrated during his research for the electric light bulb.

      A pair of very good golden age movies.

      Good movies for the whole family. Good leads and a fine supporting cast . Good screenplays too. Directors good too. Saw these years ago they were very good then as they are now.
