      Perfered the Rodac over the higher cost Hutchins

      Used a Rodac Straight Line Board Sander for many years of reliable sanding in the body shop business. Had friends that had a Hutchins Sander and claimed to be the best. I guess time will tell, but they are very uncomfortable in your hand, the trigger has some what of a sharp edge that rubs on your finger and becomes a problem after a while of use. Maybe a little quieter then the Rodac but for the money, I would have choose the Rodac over the Hutchins.

      Excellent tool,never failed

      I've been doing body work full time for 42 years. Always owned Hutchins products. I am now 62 and do not have any finger or other joint problems. All their tools are highly engineered and are double balanced. I prefer the 8620 air file over the Hustler 2000. It is more comfortable when using for long periods of time.Hutchins products cost a little more than others but last a lifetime if taken care of. I have also bought many used ones and all have worked with just a little cleanup and oil,maybe a new pad.I own a couple of MA8 DA's, 800's,a 4500, an old MK4 and a few others.Don't shy away from their product.       Very smooth!

      I am going to buy one right now! I have always been against straight line sanders mainly because of how much they fight you. For years I decided to just sand with 40 grit by hand until i got to use a buddy of mines Hutchins Hustler, I fell in love with this sander the first 5 min of using it, I can easily use one hand and the thing will glide with ease, extremely smooth! This is the best of the best! Not to mention my friend has owned his for a few years, using it everyday, keeping it oiled like you should and the sander still is as smooth as the day he bought it! Don't waste your money on any other straight line sander! You will never EVER regret buying this tool! Hutchins has made me a believer and I will from now on buy my straight line sanders/ Dia's/ Jitterbugs from them! True quality ...
