Over the years I've had several sets of golf clubs, always in search of the ones which would improve my game. A friend of mine, who is a very good golfer, had the Callaway X-14's and really liked them. I saw this set on Ebay, along with a Callaway golf bag, at a very reasonable bid. All the specifications matched my needs, ie; left hand, regular flex, graphite shafts, so I bid and won the item. I'm very satisfied with my purchase. I just love to buy and sell on Ebay. Being left handed was always a handicap when it came to purchasing items in a Golf Store. Now I have so many options that what was once a handicap, is now a benefit, ie; less demand when buying, and a large portion of the US population when selling. Go Ebay...Keep on keepen on!!!
Awesome feel, very forgiving and amazing length. The first 9 out I scored over averag because I was hitting everything 10yds longer than usual. After making the adjustment I scored 4-under my 9-hole avg on the back side!!

My wife and I just started to learn golf in May. I wanted a set of clubs that would see me through from beginner through intermediate levels of play someday. I put together an entire set of used Callaway clubs (7 irons, 2 wedges, driver, putter, 3 hybrid woods, bag) using eBay that I'm very happy with. This iron set was the first thing I bought. So for under $500, I'm getting to learn with a set up clubs that would probably be $1400 if I bought them new. These irons seem to be a perfect fit. I'm getting good distance with reasonable control given my skill level. I think these clubs must be very forgiving for me to be getting such good results already. I'm especially pleased with what I've been able to do with the short range clubs. I feel completely confident whenever I can get to a position for a short iron shot to the green (not that they all turn out perfectly!). That's way more of a feeling of control than I expected to have at this point in learning the game.Read full review
I bought this set as a backup set for my Pings and Callaway Big Berthas. All I can say is wow! I now use the X-14's simply because I can feel the clubhead anywhere in my swing. The feel during impact is so solid compared to my other two sets. While having a large sweetspot on the X-14 clubs is very valuable, moreso, the club will signal very distinctly to me where the ball meets the clubface. Relatively easy to work a fade or draw and straight as an arrow, I feel this is the finest Callaway iron set I've ever played. It has it all...feel, ability to hit it straight and work the ball, and Callaway craftmanship. I would highly recommend these irons.
I have used X-14 irons since they came out around 2000. They are not the longest irons out there but they are very consistant and comfortable for me. The uniflex shaft fits my swing speed which is about 90mph with irons. I hit my driver about 225 in the air with a 90-95 mph swing. These irons are great for chipping and knock down shots also. This review is being written because I found a set on Ebay that were brand new, Amazing. I sent them to callaway to adjust the lie to 3 degree upright. The wedges work great for me too. I hit the sw 65 yds, gapw 80 yds, and the wedge 95 yards. I have hit the x-14 graphites also and the firm flex is really nice. I hit them higher and a little longer but steel is more consistant.
