It seems they were meant to last two years or so. The battery swells and the projector freezes and will no longer turn on. Ten year bulb with a faulty battery. Definitely do NOT buy new and unused because it will die soon. If you buy used, from someone who used it a lot, it might have some life left because the battery didn't discharge and sit dead for years. There are better projectors, like the UO smart beam laser that are 300 new.

For something barely bigger than your iPhone, this thing is amazing. It's small enough to out in your pocket yet it's powerful enough to use for movie night in your home theater. Of course it works best in a dark room, but it gets the job done even with some ambient light. It's got a short throw which is nice, it's about 1 to 1 meaning for an 80 inch picture you only have to be about 80 inches from the screen. The laser automatically keeps the picture in focus at all times. It's fairly bare-bones, it's got a mini hdmi port on the side (comes with mini-to full hdmi adapter). Sound is handled thru a mini jack and power thru a micro USB port. Pretty limited but it'll get the job done. Overall a great purchase.

Sony pico projector is easy to use by connecting to android through Wi-Fi direct as well as MHL cable. Sound is very weak because of its small size but can be connected to any sound system by AUXILIARY cable.
