    it is ok for a replacement

    it will do for a replacement it is a bit of a pain to programme although i do understand there are many makes of tv out there now and it has to accommodate them all. it does work however i cannot access my tv guide now that is the reason for 3 stars

    Universal remote control, replacement.

    It comes with a booklet that doesn't have a diagram of the remote stating what the different buttons functions are, no code for the Hikona TV included in the booklet, I tried for 2 hours to program it following the instructions but it didn't work.

    Doesn't work for my Toshiba TV

    Simply - it doesn't work but is not worth sending back. I don't think there is such a thing as a remote that is truly universal but if there is, it's not this one. I tried all three suggested methods but all failed. It's a Toshiba TV not something strange and unusual.

    Review of universal remote

    The remote does not respond to correct symbols. You press the buttons and get different things. I know it was cheap but I did expect it to work properly. I wouldn't recommend this product.
