It's an older twin axle caravan, so a heavy old beast and this little gadget worked a treat. I had to stand on the hitch a few times as the tyre started to skid. I would say tarmac only; if the road was wet I would have had problems turning it. Worth the money and happy what it can do. Definitely must detach it when towing as its to low to the ground.
