About this product

Product Information

This is the amazing story of the cyclist who took on the world and rewrote the record books, a story that is soon to be made into a major feature film starring Johnny Lee Miller and directed by Peter Broughan, director of Rob Roy. On the way to breaking the World hour record, Graeme Obree created major controversy in the professional cycling world over his unique riding style and his pioneering construction techniques. He famously had to use washing machine parts to complete the building of his 'Old Faithful' machine.

  • Inspirational book - for the keen cyclist

Did not pay much attention to Obree in the 90's & did not realise this book existed. Shame i didnt - as this book is an amzing read for a keen cyclist . Plenty of detail behind all his achievements - and the lows too. Loved the rivalry with Boardman - and how much better Obree was on such a limited budget - a true inspirational book - and highly recommended. p.s - ordered Chiris Boardmans book now - to see this rivalry from the other perpective..
