Best I could find
Unlike cheaper plastic drainers this is metal with a plasticised coating so heavier and more substantial, as well as looking superior. The richer dark red colour appealed to me too. I believe this will look good and last far longer than cheaper ones on offer. Because of severe colour fading and the perishing of the feet, I was replacing a metal Tk Maxx one I'd had for some 15 years of a similar build and, although not as heavy (the other had a metal cutlery holder and was thicker) this was the best I could find after Internet research. The sides are high so contains items well, and it's a good size, though less space for mugs than my old one. Sturdy, attractive, and functional.
I am very pleased with this purchase based on quality alone. The drainer is heavy, built sturdily, and the colour is even and vibrant. Because of the design, the drainer is exceptionally well balanced/strong and doesn't lean or shift even when dishload is heavy and one-sided. The supports are tall enough that the leg tips are the only part of the drainer that actively make contact with the surface of the sink which eliminated the pooling water issue I have experienced (and actively hated) with plastic drainers. I am very pleased with this purchase based on quality alone. The drainer is heavy, built sturdily, and the colour is even and vibrant.
