I was disappointed with this product. The size of shaving head is roughly that of a disposable razor. Which means it takes just as much time/effort to shave with it as one however, it doesn't come close to achieving the same results. After using this product I was still left with clearly visible stubble. Which isn't acceptable in my opinion and in turn caused me to wet shave afterwards with my usual equipment to achieve the desired result this therefore renders this product useless. I have subsequently purchased a Philips shaver which provides outstanding closeness, quicker shaving due to a larger contact surface and a much better overall quality and ergonomic design. I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone who wants to shave with it. It may be acceptable as a stubble/beard trimmer but yet again there are much more versatile products available at a similar price to this one.Read full review

I find that the function of shaving is very inadequate. I am not one of those people who can grow a full set of facial hair in a day, however I do like a clean shave possibly every other day, what you may call light use. This product seems to take a very long time (following the written instructions) to show any signs of shaving, let alone what I would consider to be a close shave. I have not yet used the trimming functions so am unable to comment on their effectiveness. I did purchase this Remington product for shaving and will probably buy another electric shaver and keep this one just as a trimmer.

Negatives: Good for trimming long hairs, but leaves a noticeable stubble. If you look closely at the plastic guard in front of the blade, you will see why this can't be used as a shaver. Works slightly better when used wet, but I might try modifying the guard. I paid £15.39 for mine but I have seen them elsewhere for as much as £75. I would say they are worth no more than £10. It's almost impossible to get it out of the box without the use of tools. The supplied charging cable plugs into a standard USB charger, but the other end is non-standard. It should have been designed with a standard phone type socket (mini USB or USB type C) or the thing will be useless if you lose or damage the original cable. Positives: Small and light enough to keep in a toiletry bag for that unexpected overnight stay ;-) Could probably be used as a bottle opener.Read full review

the blade does not cut properly and pulls off the hairs from under my chin making me bleed. i tried using a variety of foams and shaving gels to no avail, and even tried attacking the hairs from every angle possible. after about a dozen tries using this product i just gave up, as it was making me bleed everyday and i started growing pimples in those irritated areas. i would say the motor is too weak and the blade is not sharp enough. first Remington product i would not recommend. you're better off with your standard blade if you want a quick close shave.
