About this product

Product Information

The terrifying true crime story of the I-5 serial killer from Ann Rule, the #1 New York Times bestselling author of The Stranger Beside Me . Randall Woodfield had it all. He was an award-winning student and star athlete. He was drafted by the Green Bay Packers to play in the NFL, and chosen by Playgirl as a centerfold candidate. Working in the swinging West Coast bar scene, he had his pick of willing sexual prospects. But Randall Woodfield wanted more than just sex. An appetite for unspeakable violent acts led him to cruise the I-5 highway through California, Oregon, and Washington, leaving a trail of victims along the way. As the list of his victims grew to a total of at least 44, the police faced the awesome challenge of catching and convicting a suspect who seemed too handsome and appealing to have committed such ugly crimes--crimes that filled every woman within his striking range with feat and horror....

  • Ann Rule Books

I read many true crime writers books, but Ann Rule is by far one of the very best writer's of true crimes. She is one person that will take you into the view and life of the victim, which for the most part is not the norm. Over the years it's been the Murderer's in the true crime history that is widely reviewed and completely broken down piece by piece, so that we can, the best way that we can, try to understand or atleast attempt to what makes that type of personality tick. So, it always has been the "Killer" that everyone remembers the name of and the where and the how's of...but, Ann Rule, take all of that and pulls it a step further, while she tries to also look into that aspect of the crime, she also brings us closer to the victim and the loved one's left behind in such a way that you ...

  • A Chilling Account

Ann rule details the chilling account of the I-5 killer in this novel. She seems to have all of her facts straight, and she details the case well. One can only imagine how horrific the attacks were on the victims of Randy Woodfield. In this book, Ann Rule proves again how well she can write about true crime cases; making the readers feel like they are watching the events as they happen. She is a fantastic writer, and I highly recommend this novel, and all the others she has written as well. A

  • excellent book

I love crime books and this one is very good. Ann Rule, the author is one of my favorite author. Ann Rule explains it in good detail, though I wish her timeline was a little bit better. She skipped around on the dates, but for anybody who loves reading it is not that hard to catch on to the details.

  • Interesting read.
