A new edition of the revolutionary bestseller, with four million copies in print. Allen Carr s innovative Easyway method which he discovered after his own 100-cigarette-a-day habit nearly drove him to despair has helped millions kick smoking without feeling anxious and deprived. That s because he helps smokers discover the psychological reasons behind their dependency, explains in detail how to handle the withdrawal symptoms, shows them how to avoid situations when temptation might become too strong, and enables them to stay smoke-free. Carr discusses such issues as nicotine addiction; the social brainwashing that encourages smoking; the false belief that a cigarette relieves stress; the role boredom plays in sabotaging efforts to stop; and the main reasons for failure. With this proven program, smokers will be throwing away their packs for good.", A new edition of the revolutionary bestseller, with four million copies in print. The Eye Opener You Need

I've quit smoking many times before...for 6 months to 4 12 years. Each time it gets harder. This book was highly recommended by a friend who had done the same. It wastes no time telling you what you already know....all the awful consequences of smoking. For Pete's sake, there's a warning on every pack. Us smokers just ignore it. But it does point out in no uncertain terms how brainwashed we've become in why we smoke and the advantages we get from smoking. I've always considered myself both intelligent and logical. So it was quite a shock to me to realize just how illogical all my thinking has been for so many years. Prior to reading this book, I would have fought tooth and nails that I enjoy smoking, like the taste, and how much it helps me to relax and distress, or to fill that ...

  • Quit Smoking for Good Without Spending a Fortune or Going Crazy

I read this book about 10 years ago, and I was finally able to quit smoking (third and final attempt). Now, whenever anyone tells me that they want to quit, I ask if they are serious. If they are, I buy them a copy of the book. Five out of six people so far have also used it to quit for good. It's REALLY helpful. Being a smoker is miserable, and if I can help someone get free of it, that's worth doing. This book is the best way I know to help someone who wants to quit. It costs very little and it works. If you want to quit or you know someone who does, don't waste your money on nicotine substitutes. Beat the addiction, don't just swap it for something else.

  • Great way to stop smoking if you're open minded and ready!

I read this book 7 years ago and wasn't ready then. I gave the book to a friend. I bought this book because I am ready now! It's the best book if you have an open mind and belive :)

  • Saved My Life

If you want to quit smoking (which of course you do) read this book. Saved me thousands of dollars in a lifetime if not hundreds of thousands ($10 pack every 2 days for 60 years adds up. And lung cancer isn't cheap!)

  • I feel better already

I was a smoker for over 35 years. I liked to smoke and never thought I'd stop. This book made me look at smoking in a completely different way than I ever did before. By the time I finished reading the book I didn't want to smoke. I can't explain it or how it works but I haven't smoked and I haven't even thought about it.
