    Jesus. Love. Faith. Life.

    Easy to carry, easy to read. Has footnotes showing sources, whether Bible or early Christian writers who are not in the Bible. My public library has an earlier version of the catechism that's really frightening with lists of stuff you probably do that's not permitted and you have to confess!! This updated book is more the real basic loving Christianity.

    Must have for all Catholics

    I really think this book needs to be in every Catholic home, granted it is a little hard to figure out how to find things at first because it goes by the topic number and not the page number (in the index) but it is very useful. It helps explain why the Catholic Church believes things and helps one know and learn their faith better. It has helped me out numerous times with my own questions and also when other people have asked me to explain things that I was not quite sure about myself. I keep this book in my purse just so I can look things up if the need arises.

    Catholic education, not just for children anymore

    John Paul II called the Catechism of the Catholic Church a "special gift." This book has a complete summary of what Catholics believe throught the world. The Catechism is easy to use and has a complete index, footnotes and cross-references that enables the reader to have a fuller understanding of every subject covered. Every Catholic family should have the Catechism in their household library as well as anyone who is curious about what the Catholic Church teaches. The Catechism is an excellent, up-to-date. map for our spiritual journey.

    Defining the Catholic faith …

    This book is perfect for either the person who is Catholic and wants more info regarding the primary purpose of what the faith is , what it is trying to achieve etc.. it is also super for the person who is desiring to go toward the Catholic faith and needs to understand their objectives and how the faith is practiced . Very informative and thorough book!!!
