The wooden ones have thin side walls, offer very little winter insulation and require a frame feeder. Poly Nucs are good but only last 4 years before ending up in landfill. I’ve been looking for robust wooden Nuc boxes with a top feeder, which allow room for a layer of insulation. These are excellent such that I’m about to order a further 8, my only request is that they be made available with a tin roof.
