Solid piece of kit, but a bit quiet.
Overall, I am pleased with the D2 - it is very solidly built, the sound quality is fantastic, it was very easy to set up even without looking at the paperwork, and I think that it looks good. I use it primarily as a bedside alarm and would have liked the option to remove the carrying handle, especially as it got a little distorted in the original packaging. A minor niggle. I deliberately chose a model with an inbuilt self-charging battery and on the rare occasions when I have used the D2 in portable mode the battery life has been excellent. My only significant concern is with the available volume - the specifications (30W (10W RMS)) made me think that this would be very powerful, but I have to turn it up to 90% for normal listening - for comparison, I have my TV at 40%. Fortunately, ... Very Nice Radio.
Love the design and looks great, nice sound in a wood surround, rather than plastic. Don't like the look of the carrying strap very much, if it had been made slightly longer, it could have folded round the back but that's a minor detail.
