Dancing with the Stars Not Bad
This is a fun way to learn the dances and if you have not exercised in a long time (like me) you will break a sweat. The good thing is that each dance routine is not super long so you can do more than one dance session per workout or start out slowly and do one dance session at a time. The one con I see is that the individual dance sessions don't work your body the way the dancers seem to get worked out. However, there is a session called Challenge that I have yet to explore. Fun and easy for those of us who are anti-exercise for whatever the reason (Me? Lazy, pure and simple!). A good core workout
First I bought the Dancing with the Stars Latin dances. I liked it so much, I had to have the next one, which includes western swing and the Paso Dobles. It is a good core workout, and it teaches you to dance at the same time. I feel like I'm getting ready to use the dances I've learned for a night out. If you like to dance, you really can't go wrong with this DVD. and like I said, the workout makes you learn to use your core (waist and hips). I found myself walking different, too. Dancing With the Stars DVD
This is a great exercise video! It is a fun dance workout and easy to follow. I own many workout videos and this is my favorite. I have some dance background, but I'm 43 years old and out of shape and it was easy for me to keep up with the instructors and very fun to do the dance steps. They break it down so that anyone can follow along easily. You can go at it as easy or as hard as you like to, and yes, you can definitely work up a sweat. If you like to watch Dancing with the Stars and wish you could do those steps.....buy this DVD! You'll be doing them in no time! This is a great dvd! What a super way to exercise. If you like to dance or like Dancing With the Stars--you owe it to yourself to get this dvd. It has the dance steps they do--the Pasa Doble, Samba, Cha Cha and a warm up and cool down. It gets you moving. You don't have to have a partner, either--you can do it with the dancers from the show.They are fairly easy to follow and enthusiastic about the dances.Maks is a great teacher but it takes a few times to get his steps because of the pace as well as the lighting and his black pants. You can do the dvd in entirity or choose your dances. It is a fun fast paced workout that you will feel after you are done! It is cool to learn the steps especially if you have an event--like a wedding reception--to go to where you dance. The steps will ... This is a great dvd! What a super way to exercise. I do love the show and they make it look so easy. This is great to watch but in reality it's much harder to do. I'm sure it depends a lot on what shape you are in. If you are fit and have some rythym you are all set. If you are out of shape this is advanced but I am giving it a go anyway because it's fun. rowena1012
