    A modern Classic.

The story telling format makes this book really accessible, entertaining, and memorable for most people. Some unpleasant events form the background for the main story which also makes it realistic for some people, but these are easily forgotten as the story unfolds. There are some characterisations which challenge ones thinking but hopefully won't spoil your enjoyment of the book. There is plenty of food for thought and debate but please don't attempt to use this book as an authority on any of the issues raised.

  • Amazing book that keeps you glued to each page

I haven’t read a book like this in years. Every page is captivating. The story is powerful and this is a great gift for anyone who needs encouragement and support and a wonderful gift for someone who wants to get lost in a story for a few days. What a wonderful book. I couldn’t put it down. Thank you

  • Title is fine - don't know what else it would have been titled

In truth I didn't know what to expect from the book and having finished it am still very confused. Not sure why it was a best-seller in America. It is very strange and theological in content. I got the audio version also and read and listened at the same time and was still confused at the end, This afternoon I am going to watch the DVD which I also purchased via ebay so hopefully it will all become clear. I recommend people read it and I have a feeling you will love it or hate it. It is a Marmite book. By the way, I read it for Book Group so am very interested to know what will be said by other people. I think it is a great book for clubs/groups

  • Restored my Faith

Whether you are a believer or non believer once you have started reading this book you will find it compelling. The central character is at a very low ebb in his life and his experiences in "The Shack" eventually restore his faith in human kindness, that not everyone on this earth is evil.
