    • Well written, well documented. Excellent book. Thanks.

Extensive and exhaustive research went into preparation for the book. It was written in easy to read language. The book provided excellent information about George Washington and the challenges he faced throughout his life. The many quotes from letters and speeches were vary appropriate. I loved the last section of topical quotes about subjects and individuals. America is fortunate to have a leader like George Washington with the integrity and commitment to freedom to lead our country to independence. We need statesmen like him today.

    • THE BEST BOOK ABOUT GEORGE WASHINGTON THAT YOU WILL READ.

ALTHOUGH THE SELLER DID NOT DELIVER THIS BOOK I PURCHASED FROM EBAY, I HAVE READ MY ORIGINAL COPY WHICH WAS LOST. AFTER READING THIS WONDERFUL AND ACCURATE BOOK, I HAVE SUCH A REVERENCE FOR ONE OF THE GREATEST MEN WHO EVER LIVED ON THIS CONTINENT. I ADMIRE EVERYTHING ABOUT HIS LIFE AND HOW HE HANDLED THE MOST TRYING AND DIFFICULT SITUATIONS OF OUR NATION AT ITS BIRTH. THERE IS NOTHING I DISLIKE ABOUT THIS BOOK. THERE ARE MANY BOOKS WRITTEN ABOUT GEORGE WASHINGTON, BUT THIS ONE COMBINES ALL THE INFORMATION INTO ONE PLACE THAT MAKES IT VERY CREDIBLE. WHEN I HAD ACCESS TO MY ORIGINAL COPY, I WAS CONSTANTLY REFERRING TO THE QUOTES IN THE BACK THAT WASHINGTON SPOKE OR WROTE. HE WAS A GENIUS AND A WONDER TO READ HOW HIS SOUND ADVICE APPLIES TO TODAY'S NATIONAL DILEMMAS. IF ONLY OUR ...

    • History comes alive!

I've never been able to retain as much information as I have since reading this series of historical biographies. The author(s) make history come alive for me. This particular book is one I couldn't put down until I was finished. It made me appreciate the huge sacrifices our forefathers made and realize how precious and fragile this system of government really is. Great read!

    • THE REAL GEORGE WASHINGTON BY JAY A PARRY

I was watching Glenn Beck one day and he spoke so passionately about this book that I had to get it. What a great book!! It's a great reminder (and probably news to some) of what our founding fathers went through so that we could be a free country. In a time when history is being downsized in schools this book should be a must read for students. It is lengthy but still holds my interest. Most of the words are taken from actual words written by George Washington himself and many others. I feel anyone would benefit greatly from reading this book.

    • The definitive Source on George Washington

      Love it!
