Nearly perfect.
This is the second replacement basket I've had. The previous one was a bit flimsy. This one? Much better. The handle is a bit fiddly to get into place, but once there, it's a great improvement in that it doesn't come adrift, unlike the previous one that enjoyed spilling the contents fairly regularly. It also fits into my machine well, no little thing. It's a fairly complicated thing to manufacture out of plastic I'd say and there's a bit of flashing on some edges as it comes. So it's best to take that off, but no real hardship. But that apart, this is a good effort that I would buy again. Cutlery basket fits our Hot Point dishwasher perfectly, but it just isn't the same quality as the previous one I had purchased off ebay. The plastic appears to be thinner and less robust than our previous one (not original) and it was also a poor quality moulding, with extra bits of plastic all over it (I used to work in extruded plastics). In short, cheap, but there are better available on eBay and I won't be buying this particular one again. Excellent replacement
The cutlery tray which came in the dishwasher has developed holes in the base, allowing cutlery to protrude downwards, impacting the bottom rotating jets, so a new one was required. This was excellent value and is exactly the same as the original, but a better price. At this time, the quality appears to be the same as the original and it has the same features.

Don't throw away the old basket's handle!!
This is an exact copy of the original and fits no problem where the old one would have. But...don't throw away the old basket's handle. The handle supplied with the new basket is either badly made or incompatible. This presents no problem as long as you still have the old handle. I simply couldn't get the new handle to fit correctly on the new basket. It just kept coming off, even with no cutlery in the new basket.
