Fantastic Piece of Computing.
The AMD Athlon 64x2 Dual Core CPU is an amazing piece of kit for any desktop. With two CPU's it can run many programs at once without the hastle of closing one then re-opening another. Both at 2.2GHz it's speed is fast enough to run high end pieces of software. I am a independant film maker and I use the most powerfull tools on the professional and consumer market such as, Avid, Magic Bullet Looks and a range of Sony and Adobe products. I can upload, edit and render at the same time thanks to AMD's dual core CPU and emmense speed. AmD 64 x 2 great CPUs at a loew price
The Athlon 64 x 2 CPU's for the AM2 socket seem to be a real winner when it comes to performance and reliability. I have used the new Am3 245's etc with similar specs but the old ones seem to be the best! Fast and efficient and at a price low enough for the poorest of us. Of course we would all like to have Pentium dual core CPUs or Quad cores, if we had money to throw at them, but for the rest of us who only need enough power and speed that video and audio demand (don't forget gaming) then they are just the job. This 2.2 Ghz cpu is editing video in premiere easily and until i need enough power to navigate a space shuttle, will do just fine!!!The Athlon 64 x 2 CPU's for the AM2 socket seem to be a real winner when it comes to performance and reliability. The AMD Athlon X2 series is one of the sort after CPUs on the market today. With the AMD Athlon X2 there is so much untaped power that hiden in the cpu and is one of the chosen for overclocking by many people with its dual core and its low Watts which kicks out less heat like other CPUs and the cores are easily controlled as long you know what you are doing and there is more than enough cooling of course. Personaly i find the AMD far better in multi tasking than other leading CPU's on the market due to the fact of its overclocking powers which seem to be better at doing than the other CPU's but also it controls the memory. All in all AMD is wearth its weight in gold personal speaking. But with everything there is a dislike because other Leading brands of CPU there hasn't been much thought ... THE MAIN REASON I BOUGHT THIS WAS A NEED FOR A CHEAP BUT POWERFUL DUAL CORE CPU.I HAVE ALWAYS BOUGHT AMD, IM NOT REALLY A INTEL FAN, THAT SAID THEIR ACTUAL SPEED IS WHAT IT SAYS ON THE BOX, UNLIKE AMD WHO'S ACTUAL SPEED IS LOWER BUT IN TERMS OF RAW DATA PROCESSING HAMMER INTEL EQUIVALENTS HANDS DOWN. BENCHMARK WISE, IT HAS OFFERED CONSIDERABLE INCREASES IN CPU SCORE AND OVERALL INCREASE IN 3DMARK BY ALMOST 1000 POINTS (FOR MY SYSTEM). good cheap processor worth buying as a cheap upgrade without breaking the bank, brought this as an upgrade after running an amd athlon single core for about 4 years, worth getting a bigger cooler as they run hotter than a single core.
