    Should have been made in metal

    This product is an excellent idea, however it did not live up to expectations. It is plastic and too flimsy. On first use it failed. I secured it in with the padlock and gave it a quick pull to see if I could get it out and the whole mechanism came out including the lock and the charger lead, leaving the plastic holder only. I tried to re-insert the hook mechanism but it just comes out again and again. If this product was it metal I have no doubt it would be perfect. Just a shame it is exactly what I wanted and now I have to go down the road of fitting a box over all of the charger with a lock to secure it.

    It’s a visual deterrent……

    It’s only a visual deterrent as being all plastic it is easy to break off and access the plug so it’s not a great security device.

    Lockable EV Cable Holder

    It does the job described, but the locking mechanism is very delicate. Instructions are very detailed and need to be followed as the latch is only secured by two small plastic points in the moulding.

    Doesn’t secure cable to the wall, and the release clip (which is where the padlock goes) broke on first use.

    Does the job

    Does the job but not sure how robust it is, feels like if you pulled at it it may break. However, that said it’s a deterrent and that what I needed. For the price it’s fine.
