CALCULATORS WERE NEW IN ORIGINAL SEALED PACKAGE. HOWEVER THESE CALCULATORS HAVE BEEN STORED AWAY FOR QUITE A FEW YEARS SOMEWHERE AND THE BATTERIES WERE COMPLETELY FLAT. ONCE I PUT SOME NEW BATTERIES IN, EVERYTHING WAS FINE, GOOD CALCULATORS WITH A BIG DISPLAY. IT IS A CHANCE YOU TAKE WITH CALCULATORS THAT HAVE BEEN AROUND FOR A LONG TIME, THE BATTERIES MIGHT BE FLAT, OR NEARLY FLAT. BUT I STILL THINK THESE CALCULATORS WERE WELL WORTH BUYING. VERY WELL PACKED IN A STRONG CARDBOARD BOX.

Most verdatil scintific/finance calculator
I've had my FX-700 for nearly 10 years and it's only now that I have had to replace the batteries - not the easiest of exercises but well worth the effort (Batteries are L1145, aree readily available and are as cheap as chips.) Why did I not just trash my FX-700 and buy a new Casio, for example? Simply bacause, in terms of performance, none of the new pocket calculators can hold a candle to the Texet FX0700. It is the ideal calculator for solving scientific and finance calculations - which I have to do regularly. None of the others appear to be able to do these sums quickly and EASILY! I mean, for example, where else can you find the function "x(root)y" - with "x" other than 2 or 3? I think I'll buy the current version of the FX-700 in case the (now rather old) one I have ever turns up its ...
