Impressive sound and design. My new favourite earphones!
I've been very impressed with the sound of these earphones. They are detailed and rich with great dynamics. Bass is good but not over-bloated, giving a very rhythmic quality. The earphones support LHDC, LDAC (with a firmware update) and AAC. They are even Hi-Res certified. I'm using LHDC in the best quality mode available and so far there have been no connection issues whatsoever. The sound is quite neutral overall which I appreciate. Oppo phone users (like myself) have full control of the earphones built into the phone. Others can simply download the HeyMelody app for the same features (on Android and iOS). There are EQ presets, options to customise the earphone controls (or even disable them). You can even take a test to customise the sound to your own hearing. I found this a bit ... I found this a bit gimmicky and didn't bother but it's nice to have such an option. You can adjust the volume level of the earphones by sliding your finger up or down on the edge of the stem. It works quite well and is very useful. I can't comment on the noise cancellation features as I never use them. Such features generally seem to affect sound quality so I always turn them off. Build quality seems excellent. The case feels very well made with a sturdy hinge and premium design. I went for the white colour but I understand a black version will also be available. My only minor complaint is that for me to get a good seal in the ear I have to use foam tips. Oppo only supply the standard silicone tips so I've had to use foam tips from other earphones. Any manufacturer who is serious about sound quality should ALWAYS include foam tips! I also wish the app included full EQ customisation rather than just a few presets. Hopefully that will come in the future. Happy to recommend these for anyone looking for decent sounding wireless earphones.
