Modification potentials
I've seen one report which criticised the use of a metal bridging piece between the two sides but (if you look carefully) there is an offset which produces quite a gap between the bridge and the underside of a hard disk in the event of having an exposed PCB there. I needed these for adaptation for a computer case where the caddies are no longer available and needed to modify the height of the rails, so I opted for the all-plastic type which were easier for me to work on.
