I fitted this to one of the old style Davis Anemometers (which are not suppposed to be replaceable) and to my surprise I found it far more sensitive than the original Reed switch. This meant I had to remove the original magnet which was too strong, and instead had to fit a smaller, less powerful magnet to prevent the reed switch reading multiple times on each revolution. All good once that mod had been carried out.
