About this product

Product Information

This "50th Anniversary" addition to the Museum series celebrates the longevity of Namco, which was founded in 1955 as an operator of "rocking horse" amusement rides. Namco has been in the video game business since 1974, when it acquired the Japanese division of the original Atari.

In its most prolific arcade game compilation yet, Namco revives 14 coin-op classics for play on home consoles. The disc aims to provide spot-on emulations of the following blockbuster hits and forgotten favorites: Galaxian (1979), Pac-Man (1980), Rally-X (1980), Ms. Pac-Man (1981), Galaga (1981), Bosconian (1981), Dig Dug (1982), Pole Position (1982), Xevious (1982), Pole Position II (1983), Mappy (1983), Sky Kid (1985), Rolling Thunder (1987), and Dragon Spirit (1987).

  • Excellent value but console translation is questionable

First off, I love this collection and I've had a lot of fun playing it. I got my money's worth, that's for sure. The 50th Anniversary release includes 14 of the biggest arcade games in history in their original format, plus two extra unlockables. Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man are without question the pinnacle of arcade history and the flagship titles of this release. The usual suspects are also here: Dig Dug, Galaga, Pole Position. But one of the reasons I sought out the 50th Anniversary version was because it included one of my all-time favorites, the elusive Bosconian. The sights and sounds are exactly as I remember them. The games are presented in console screen size, so that you'll have dark areas on the right and left sides of your TV. You have the option to slightly adjust the ...

  • VERY GOOD AND FUN PRODUCT THAT HAS GREAT VARIETY OF GAMES!

THE PRODUCT IS VERY GOOD TO HAVE BEEN USED AND TO BE AN ORIGINAL XBOX GAME. THE GAME INCLUDES A HUGE VARIETY OF FUN CLASSIC GAMES, ALTHOUGH SOME OF THE GAMES SUCH AS PACMAN ARE VERY HARD TO PLAY ON THE XBOX BECAUSE OF THE LACK OF A GOOD OL' FASHIONED JOYSTICK. ALTHOUGH, ALL IN ALL I WOULD DEFFINATELY RECCOMED THIS PRODUCT TO ANYONE THAT IS INTERESTED IN PLAYING SOME CLASSIC GAMES.

  • Fun time

The games are so good very fun to play cannot stop playing Highly recommend.

  • Awe product! I fully recommend it to everyone kid pit there

Its remarkable. They games are still good and entertaining like it was always before 20 years ago. The only thing I disliked about this product is that it does not have all the good games from Namco like I had expected. Nonetheless, it is wtill a state of the art entertaining game for any kid or adult that was or is a hardcore arcade player.
