As you'd expect, these buffers fit quite snug in their slots and so they can be difficult to fit. The long ones (for the seat) went in eventually but I had to shave down the sides of the 'peg' of the round ones (for the lid) with a pumice stone before they would go in. Much cheaper than having to buy a new toilet seat though, and much easier than trying to find a seat to fit a non-standard toilet bowl shape.
