    Worked great outdoors in full Hawaiian sun with the detector

    Great level that is easy to use and worked well in laying out a residential agricultural building site. We used the level with the recommended detector, set the level in pulse mode (1 button). We took shots that were around 100 feet from the level and the detector picked them up easily. We were in full sun in Hawaii. We did shade the detector on long shots that were facing into the sun - I think this helped. It was very fast to get the shots. The laser needs to hit the small window that's only about an inch high, but it's pretty easy even when we clamped the detector to our stadia rod. We raised the detector on the rod way high into the air until the unit beeped - very quick to find our elevations. Unit looks well built and comes with a nice padded case.

    D.O.A. Proceed with Caution.

    D.O.A. I bought this so I could work on outside projects with my green Huepar laser level. Installed the battery, looked through the instructions and set up my laser up in my living room. 10': nothing. 3' nothing. Supposed to register lights on the unit to indicate high or low from the beam and optionally beep fast or slow for same. I thought, "What am I doing wrong?" Read the instructions again. Tried again. Nothing. I went to the Huepar website and sent a video of my set up and requested help. The one department forwarded to another department the second one sent me back: "Try this". I did try. Didn't work. Told them it didn't work -- heard nothing. It's been over a week and I can't use this thing. I have initiated a return to Ebay vendor as a defective product. The ...
