About this product

Product Information

Written with the assistance, for the first time, of all of those involved, including Bryan Ferry, Brian Eno, Andy Mackay and Phil Manzanera; the fashion designer Antony Price, the founding guru of pop art, and Bryan Ferry's tutor, Richard Hamilton, and many more, Roxy is also the account of how pop art, the avante garde underground of the 1960s, and the heady slipstream of London in the sixties was transformed into the fashion cults of revivalism, nostalgia and pop futurism in the early 1970s.

  • In depth

The book is very in depth about the fashion of the time, but as you know fashion can change from town to town and city to city. The fact that Roxy music and their disciples were fashion conscious as much to do with where they were from and their close knit peer grouping added to the style of Roxy/ ferry takes away the relevance of the music which in reality is the main reason Roxy were well ahead and still are in many ways adhered to. Cheers
