      24 - Season Five (2006, DVD)

      Wow, what an adrenalin ride this series is. Season five proved to be in "24" style a non-stop adventure with twist up until the last episode. I became addicted to 24 when I unknowingly rented season one from the video store. In a few short months we have viewed all seasons that are released. We like this show, but struggle with some of it's political presentations. Season 5 had all the same torture scenes and weak women characters (could the writers put atleast one strong non-narotic woman character that stays alive?) that we don't like, but it included a plot by the government that most accurately represents the kind of decisions our government is making for us today. Really there is no need to review this item, because once you start watching 24, you ...

      Ongoing Suspense

      One would think that after one or two seasons of a fictional story regarding threats to national security and the 'normal' manipulation of power in the world of politics, the story would end. Not so, and part of what is fascinating about 24 are the seemingly inconsequential connections amongst the characters, which smack of reality and even gender based politics in the work place. I'm still hooked, and I just ordered the DVD pack for the next season.

      Posted by CK-Auctions I love the Netfliks & Blockbuster Rental services so I've seen my fair share of movies out there and it's not something I'm fond of admitting, but I've never caught a single episode of Joel Surnow and Robert Cochran's 24 on TV. Not one. In fact, if it weren't for the constant "Fox News" plugs during every other episode, I probably wouldn't even know what channel it aired on. Thanks to the convenience of DVD, I was converted to a fan of the nail-biting series a few short years ago, and I haven't looked back since. 24 is simply one of the most addicting shows you'll find on network TV (or digital cable, for that matter), combining an irresistible real-time premise with layered characters, emotional drama, ...

      Very fast moving.

      Super fast paced show Needed this one also to complete my set. We love this series when you can "binge" watch it. Can't imagine what it was like to wait each week for the next episode. I loaned it out to friends and employees and they are stuck on it too.
