Rachel Nichols (GI Joe: The Rise of Cobra) as City Protective Services (CPS) officer Kiera Cameron, Erik Knudsen (Jericho) as teen tech super guru Alec Sadler and Victor Webster (Castle) as Vancouver, B.C., police detective Carlos Fonnegra, lead a cast of characters in an adventure that begins in the future North American Union controlled by its Corporate Congress (2077), where anarchist freedom-fighters (Liber8) are able to flee their scheduled execution through time travel and arrive in present day society (2012) in an attempt to thwart the future global corporate takeover. One of the striking parts of this series is that the escaping members of Liber8 are, unknown at first to them, accompanied by a CPS law enforcement officer sworn to stop them and that this CPS officer connects with a young computer whiz who assists her in her quest, as she ends up posing as an operative from an ultra-secret government agency (Section 6) in order to work with local law enforcement to stop Liber8. While Liber8 members are against the dystopian society and Orwellian-like corruption and suppression they have witnessed and experienced in 2077, the group (except for one) uses violence in 2012, seemingly at every turn, to seek their end game. The argument can be made, however, that this method might be the only one that could achieve the desired impact and deliver the intended results. That decision is actually left for the viewer to decide. An enjoyable aspect of the series is where, as opposed to flash-backs, Continuum offers flash-forwards, such as when Cameron, now in the year 2012, thinks about and has memories from her 2077 self, most often tying into a similar situation or event in which she is "currently" involved, or when certain elements of the whys and wherefores of the story or other characters involved are revealed. Each time this occurs, a character is more fully developed or the plot thickens. Another great point is the advanced high-tech devices and gadgets that exist in 2077, which Cameron has on and with her when she arrives in 2012, including an ultra-cool electronic body suit. As time travel stories go, Continuum is a step above most others as it actually provides the viewer with different theories as to its nature, as well as to what might plausibly occur on a given timeline should activities, events and people alter from what "history" has shown. That is not to say the series is without any flaws whatsoever (what series is?), but to me they do not detract. Continuum is entertaining and recommended.Read full review
This show has solid acting, a story that keeps you engaged from beginning to end and surprisingly good special effects for a Sy-Fy Channel series. Also season 2 is even better, so I'll be getting the other two seasons later. I highly recommend this show.

An interesting little series, I didn't catch it on its initial run, but after seeing re-runs prior to season 2, I decided that finding the series at the right price was worth the sci-fi investment. Interesting science fiction story line, and another selling point for me, Erik Knudsen doing another series after Jericho.
I am very pleased with my purchase. Arrived today so I delayed reporting. I am a collector series. Loved the box that enrich my collection.
A great syfy. Watched on Netflix but wanted the show on blu-ray for the better visual quality of blu-ray
