    Forest of the Night by S. Andrew Swann

    I first become interested in S. Andrew Swann when I was in a bookstore and saw the cover with a large tiger man on the cover. It reminded me of Dr. Moreau Island. I read the description on the cover. The story in set in the future Los Angeles genetic research was used to create many races of non-humans. The big cat is a detective. I enjoyed reading the book and it gave a perspective from a non-human point of view. Imagine being an intelligent being but having to fight urges because of your animal ancestry. This is a very popular series. I think their are at least four or five in the series. It is a detective story with many interesting twists.
