    This precious (and expensive) item was *exactly* as described, and was packed with spectacular care and expertise - pairs of books alternately wrapped in bubble wrap and paper, packed in a box that was just the right size, with what little extra space there was filled with Styrofoam sheet, then that tightly sealed box in another box, cushioned on all sides with Styrofoam. The books, just as pictured, original sealed plastic wrap still perfectly intact on each book, look wonderful on my shelf!
