      A great companion for older HP mobile workstations

      A great companion if you got a compatible workstation and a desktop setup with several accesories. Personally, I have two displays, mouse, keyboard, ethernet, speakers, webcam and printer on my desk. Oh yeah, lets not forget about the charger. Connecting a disconnecting everything every time is annoying and wears ports out prematurely. Not anymore with this accesory! It also lifts the laptop up a little, so it gives the cooler fan some additional breathing room when performing intensive tasks or playing games. This is a plus unless you were already using a cooling pad. The legacy connectors are nice but I don't see myself using them any time soon. All in all, completely satisfied with this product, which arrived in near perfect condition.

      Locked

      At first I couldn't get my computer on the dock. When I finally did, I couldn't get it off! I finally realized it was locked and did NOT come with a key to unlock it. I tried everything to get the computer off but it wouldn't budge. Thankfully someone I work with had a box of keys for our work docks and one eventually worked. If I hadn't had a key to unlock it, I don't know what I would have done to get my computer off the dock. Now it works fine. Make sure when you are ordering your dock, that it is either unlocked or comes with a key! If it doesn't come with a key (which mine did not) I do not recommend this product since there is no way to use it if it is locked.

      Good Product

      This product works very well. I use it for working it home. It doesn't have a lock unfortunately and it really didn't appear to be new - possibly reconditioned? However, for the money and the utility, it is a great value.

      COMPACT DOCKING WITH ON/OFF BUTTONS

      THE DOCKING STATION WAS EASY TO SET UP. IT TOOK A FEW MINUTES TO HOOK UP BEFORE POWERING IT ON. LATER, I ADDED EXTERNAL MONITORS TO MY DESK. I RECOMMEND A DOCKING STATION FOR WORK FROM HOME OFFICES LIKE MINE.
