In 1966, Alf Ramsey created a football miracle. With huge team cohesion and the lack of wingers, the tireless work ethics of the team were hard to beat. Eusebio, North Korea and Argentina all provided unforgettable highlights as parts of a wonderful England victory. Sadly, Pele was kicked to pieces and would have to wait for four years to show what he could do. Geoff Hurst's hat trick took all the plaudits, but the whole England team were magnificent and Ramsey's plans showed maturity and brilliant team management.
