DVD is exactly as described. Case is excellent as well as the DVD. The only difference between this DVD and a new movie is the clear plastic wrapper. We couldn’t be happier with the purchase. Excellent communication and packaging. Seller is AAA+++ in my book!

  • A Short Study on Jewish Traditions

My wife had seen this production before and I, in junior high school, had sung a song in the choir from this production, but I had never seen it. My wife was convinced I would hate it because I prefer action, adventure, fantasy, etc. However, I also have an interest in Jewish people and their culture. And Fiddler on the Roof was very revealing as to the relationship between culture and tradition, and how one feeds off of the other and vice-a-versa. From the theme song all the way to the unhappy ending, tradition rang supreme throughout, even to the shunning of one's own children for marriage outside the "faith" to an "enemy". I found the acting to be very good, as well as the music, scenery, dancing. I can easily see why it was nominated for several Academy Awards. It earned every ...

  • VHS technology still works!

Lucky to find a VHS tape. I am a teacher at a poor private school with some really old media. Product was exactly what I was looking for. Brand new and not a bootleg.

  • Fiddler on the Roof is a Must-See!!

I watched the video, I went to the play, I decided I had to buy the video. This is definitely a must-see musical even for those who don't like musicals!! Even my husband, an out-and-out musical hater, loved Fiddler on the Roof! There's a wonderful story that is set in a period of history that we would all rather forget; however, the love of family, the humor of family, and the resilience of family will be etched in your mind forever. Truly this is a classic!!

  • VHS Movie--Fiddler on the Roof

I bought this movie as a Hannukah gift for my kids. I am a Messianic beleiver, and love the tradition, the music, and the story of these Jews forced to face changes in the world, challenging their faith, and costing them their homes. I bought the on Ebay because I couldn't find it anywhere else.

  • Fiddler on the Roof - what a classic!

Bought this for a stocking stuffer for my wife....this has always been a favorite of ours! If you have not seen it, get it. It needed a follow up film made however as the ending leaves you wondering-what next?
