About this product

Product Information

Immerse yourself in an exciting Australian outback adventure when playing the classic Krome Studios Ty the Tasmanian Tiger 3: Nght of the Quinkan game. In this third installment of the popular Nintendo PSP GameCube video game, Ty is tasked with reassembling a disbanded group of warriors in order to save his homeland, Southern Rivers, from the alien Quinkan invaders. Helping on this important mission are Shazza, his girlfriend, and their mutual friend, Fluffy. The main villians of the fun GameCube game adventure, who must be defeated by Ty, are the Quinking and Boss Cass, who also wishes to rule over Southern Rivers. While stories one and two of Ty the Tasmanian Tiger were created by the well-known producer of many popular digital games, Electronic Arts, SONY turned to Kronos Studios for its third installment of the series. Kronos comes through with a slightly tweaked gameplay experience that ups the level of difficulty a notch or two. Some cheats may be available, but with a rating of Everyone E10+, the game is relatively easy to understand and enjoy for both young and older players. Ty the Tasmanian Tiger games are designed for playing on GameCube, Playstation 2, Game Boy Advance, and Xbox platforms. Although this is a vintage title, these games are more advanced than those offered on the old NES systems. This game runs best on systems compatible with Playstation 2 and the Xbox universe of gaming systems. Due to Microsoft’s updated compatibility of hardware and software, you can often play older games such as this one on an Xbox One or Xbox 360. Alternatively, PS2 games are not typically compatible with PS3, PS4, Wii, or Wii U systems. However, ongoing improvements to backwards compatibility issues may resolve this issue. You may have more success with compatibility if you own a Gameboy Advance compatible Nintendo DS system. Ty the Tasmanian Tiger 3 follows the same story formula found in the two popular prequels. Most of the action takes place in the Outback, and Ty uses his trusty boomerang as his main weapon. At the beginning of the game, you are offered several choices of how to enjoy the experience. If you enjoy playing games that give you options for subtitles, sound, camera, screen, and control operation, this is right up your alley. Like many Playstation games of this era, the characters and background scenery have an early 3D look that gives gameplay lots of screen depth. The colors are rich but not overwhelming to the eye. The high-quality voice narration brings each character to life, and most characters speak English without an accent. Tye, however, has a strong Australian accent. There’s lots of intense fighting in this action-oriented game, and you’ll need lots of powers to defeat the enemy. Luckily, you can visit several shops to find a wide range of awesome boomerangs, which offer 1,000 customization variations. Earning points to obtain Bunyip Stones is also a big part of your quest to defeat the Quinkan. Use your energized Tasmanian Tiger power to battle the enemy on the ground, and then hop into a Gunyip figher jet to face the alien armada in the air. Ty the Tasmanian Tiger 3 is one of those vintage video games you’ll have hours of fun playing.

The Andrew Pinckney signed Baseball is far and beyond better looking in person than the pictures. The pictures did not do the ball justice. Sellar is easy to work with, fast shipping, great communication, great packaging, anything and everything you could ask for. If you do not buy from them it's your own fault because I most certainly will be. If and when you get a chance please leave feedback it will be greatly appreciated it. Thank you very much

  • Good game for kids and their parents.

My son (4 1/2) loves the Ty the Tasmanian Tiger games. I have to help him through some parts, but most of it is easy enough for him to play and have fun. The game has a great sense of humor and is not violent. I actually enjoy playing with him because their is a lot of exploring to do and secrets to find. The controls and overall gameplay are very smooth and usually don't get frustrating. I would recomend any of the 3 Ty games, especially to parents who don't want their children playing games with blood and violent themes.

  • Not as good as Ty 2, but still good.

Don't get me wrong, Ty is one of my favorite characters. While I LOVED the first two games in this trilogy, I never had the chance to play the third until I bought this and it arrived in my mail box. For whatever reason, this game isn't as good as the first two, but I still find myself enjoying it, so it wasn't a waste of money. While I was sad to see the bustling town of the second game was reduced to a box canyon, seeing the cast again reminded me why I loved the game in the first place. The changes to this game from the previous took me a minute to get used to, mainly because I have the first two for Xbox and this for 'cube that I play on my Wii. I just wish that the kart racing sections didn't royally suck and that they weren't forced. Over all, great game if you're a fan of the ...

  • Ty the Tasmanian Tiger:Night of the Quinkan

I have bought the whole "Ty the Tasmanian Tiger" series for my daughter. It it a great game for kids. Lots of characters, a huge 'world' to explore, and plenty of options to do something different each time. My daughter loves all the Ty games, and I recommend them to parents, because they're kid-friendly (No, cursing, excessive & graphic violence, etc.); but it's not condescending to the kids either, Ty can, and has been enjoyed by adults. The game can be as simple, or as complex as you want it to be. The Ty series reminds me a little bit of the Zelda game series. Anyway, I recommend the game to anyone, especially those with kids.

  • Great Game that builds upon it's prequels.

I am really enjoying this game! I love the small touch of "combat" added where you can beat things up. The difficulty has been raised in this game compared to it's prequels, and that's okay. This is truly a series that improves upon it's previous games. The rangs are totally revamped with the addition of adding power stones to chassies to make custom rangs. As for the bad, I was never a big fan of the racing portions in Ty 2, but for those who did enjoy them, racing is back, but with a twist. And most of the same voice actors are back, but not Ranger Ken's. I don't like the new voice. If that's all I have to complain about, then the game is good.
