About this product

Product Information

O'Brien's Introduction to Information Systems 14e continues to reflect the movement toward enterprise-wide business applications. George Marakas from the University of Kansas joins as a co-author on this new edition. New real world case studies correspond with this curriculum shift. The text's focus is on teaching the general business manager how to use and manage the most current IT technologies such as the Internet, Intranets, and Extranets for enterprise collaboration, and how IT contributes to competitive advantage, reengineering business processes, problem solving, and decision-making.

The book is in amazing condition, above “acceptable” and shipped in a bubblewrap envelope. Though there are some soft color fading the top and bottom edge, it hardly seemed used and has that library book smell. Glad I took a chance because the description was general and there was no photo. Seller also didn’t provide additional description when asked. But they did promptly cancel my cancellation when asked and sent quickly. Thank you for the Tuesday surprise!

Seller listed this as hardback but sent a paperback version. I received it in a torn plastic mailer that exposed the book so I’m unsure about its initial quality vs any damage that may have occurred during delivery. I attempted contact x2 to replace it with the correct version with no reply. Waste of good money. Don’t trust this seller to ship what you actually buy or package it with care. Bait and switch.

  • Another textbook rip-off!

The book is ridiculously simple and extremely poorly written. It is at least 10 years behind in terminology in a field that excels in that, and many of the examples are so biased toward big names in IT (Microsoft and Apple, for example) it is pathetic. It is a non-funny parody and it barely glosses over the surface of what information technology in the "real world" is really all about. If this text is going to be used in your survey class on IT, good luck in actual practice, you are going to need it!

  • Computer Information Systems

Pretty easy book to read, considering I am not a CIS major, the chapters are laid out easy and the questions in the back of the chapter really help with the studying the material.

  • Great price

Sorry I forgot to right the review. It was a really good price for the book. The turn around time in recieving the book was great. I will buy from this saler again.

  • international edition

I like that the international edition is the exact same book, but cheaper! Why spend twice the price?
