408 pages, with more than 600 illustrations, size 5.5 x 8.5 inches. Originally published by Floyd Clymer, prior to his untimely death in 1970, this edition was republished in 2010 by VelocePress. At almost one inch thick this is possibly the most comprehensive shop manual ever published on the Type 2 Volkswagen Transporter series of vehicles. It covers the 1950-1967 SPLITTIE (T1) and the 1967-1979 BAY (T2) models fitted with the 1200cc, 1500cc and 1600cc engines. Written in easy to understand language, it includes complete technical data and specifications, service and maintenance information and comprehensive detailed instructions for the repair and overhaul of all major and minor mechanical and electrical components. This shop manual is absolutely a - must have - reference for any VW Transporter enthusiast and would certainly be a critical resource in the restoration of one of these classic Volkswagens. Out-of-print and unavailable for many years, this book is becoming increasingly more difficult to find on the secondary market and we are pleased to be able to offer this reproduction as a service to all those vintage automotive race car builders and enthusiasts worldwide.
