  • Informative and helpful look into physics

The thing I loved most about this book is buying it brand new online for half the price that I would have paid at my university bookstore. Besides having a decent price, it's also a very informative look into the principles of physics. The many colored diagrams and models really help you to visualize the physics involved in a problem and help you to understand the concepts being introduced much easier. If you've taken some calculus, it may seem that the beginning is just the same old stuff that you've already learned. That's how I felt when I first started my physics class because I'd already taken all three quarters of calculus. However, once you get past all the beginning material on vectors and position, velocity, and acceleration graphs, and you get into how forces act on objects, ...

  • nice book

The textbook had very nice diagrams to illustrate the material that it covered. It also had a lot of well-thought-out examples that clearly helped the reader understand the use of equations in certain instances. Also, the chapters are fairly short, averaging about 24 pages so far. In addition, key words and equations were highlighted and explained in order to clear up any ambiguity. Unfortunately, one of the few bad qualities about it is its large size, but students used to carrying thick books should not have any problems. All in all, I think that this is one of the better physics textbooks that I have learned the subject from: a really good reference book.

  • great book for some serious physics

take advance of studying the most powerrfull tools to understand whats going on around with physics. Just for some serius students on physics.

  • Thanks

It is exactly as you'd described. I need this book for the third semester of Physics. I had to use another book in another campus and it was called physics for Scientists and Engineers by Tipler and it sux. In contrast this one is much better, explains a lot and does not confuse the studetns. I know that because my friends has this book. This copy looks brand new to me! Thanks a lot.
