It offers general information and timelines for each of the items produced and describes the different variations that were made. It features over 1,200 beautifully lighted, well focused, black and white photographs. It provides many serial number references but does not provide pricing information. However, this is a guide that will never go out of date. All Nikon lovers and collectors will find this book to be a valuable reference resource and a joy to look at ... A must guide for every Nikon fan and collector
Finally i get this book. The format, the layout and the index helps a lot. There's a great amount of selected data of every camera, lens and other Nikon accessories. I would like this book more focused only in lens. And more technical drawing details of every lens. This book isn't a review of Nikon gear, don't expect to read this lens is better than that and things like that, there's only selected information. If you are into Nikon DSLR's and want to look for old AI and AI-S lenses this book can help you a lot. Enjoy it.Finally i get this book. The format, the layout and the index helps a lot. Also, the description ‘block’ offers greater detail in regard to function, manufacturing, history, etc. He even developed and uses a self developed coding system to distinguish each product or its variants. A lot of sellers don't really know if the lens is an AI or an AIS, but with a little looking in this book you can track the serial numbers and find out fairly quickly.
