About this product

Product Information

Firepower 2000 is a unique vertical scroller in that players can select one of two attack vehicles, a jeep or a helicopter. The jeep is slow and vulnerable to the many ground-based attacks, but it can fire in all directions. The helicopter can only fire forward, but it is quick and can travel safely over the surface enemies. The most enjoyable route is the two-player simultaneous mode, which lets one player control the jeep while the other player controls the helicopter. With no continues and no save feature, defeating the game's six levels is a formidable challenge. Thankfully, there are some nice power-ups (such as flame and lasers), and the graphics are crisp and clear, making it easy to keep track of things, even when the action is hot and heavy. As a bonus, there's no discernable slowdown.

  • Firepower 2000 is a shoot 'em up classic!

Firepower 2000 is a top down shoot 'em up for the Super Nintendo. It is a one or two player in which you play as a Jeep or Helicopter. This game has six stages in total and your objective is to shoot oncoming foes such as planes, tanks, and various ships. At the end of each stage, you will encounter a boss in which you must defeat. In each stage, you can get power-ups from large crates in which contains shooting weapons such as bullets, plasma shots, flame shots, laser beams, and even Ionic shots. Also, the boxes contain sub weapons such as Missiles (obtained by an X icon), homing missiles (obtained by an H icon), and my personal favorite, the flame sphere (obtained by an S icon). The special weapons can be used by pressing the X button. The more of a particular shooting weapon you ...

  • Firepower 2000 SNES Videogame

Many years ago, I had a SNES system , This one game in particular was always a challenge to just get to the 2nd stage, It features a decent 2Player Coop mode where You play as a Helicopter and Jeep passing through war zones littered with enemy vehicles and artillery. there is no difficulty setting and Once you are hit with enemy fire, you lose a life. You can pickup powerups on the way by destroying certain buildings and these powerups can assist in defeating enemies . Strategy is key in matching the right weapon with the right target . , This game is a great side scroll style game.
