Interesting but glad I didn't pay full price for a new one.
Interesting information, a lot of good visuals, clearly explained and easy to follow, material is presented in a logical progression. Professor speaks clearly and is easy to understand. The constant view shifts between 2 cameras on the professor are slightly annoying and do not enhance the presentation. I've used several of The Great Courses over the past ten years and I've found them generally good but variable in listen-ability [watch-ability]. This one has good information about interesting geological sites and formations around the world. The illustrations are good and they're enlightening but I sure wish the Professor was a bit more animated and personable. Maybe some lecturers need a live audience to present well? I got this course mainly for the views of marvelous geography. But the professor presents each wonder with an explanation of its causation, which makes it easy to grasp and remember. The videos alone make it worthwhile.
