    Stevia - get to know it!

    Ask yourself why Japan has banned all artificial sweeteners except Stevia. Do yourself a favor, get well acquainted with Stevia. I'm trying to keep my sugar intake low as I'm borderline prediabetic, or maybe prediabetic. I'm also human and hanker for a decent-tasting drink when I'm thirsty and craving a little more than cold Brita water. I tried several things, and have found that these Stevia drops, when added to a Sparkling Seltzer water (like Canada Dry) works very well for me and gives me the satisfaction I crave. The key is to not use too much of it. Stevia is reported to be sweeter then sugar. Therefore, you don't have to add a ton of it. In fact, I've found that if you can taste the Stevia, you added to much. Don't shoot for making a drink taste sweet, instead shoot for ...

    I like it!

    I love sugar but too much of anything is a bad thing, so I've heard. So, instead of using 3 tsps of sugar for a cup off coffee or tea, I tried Now Better Stevia. I does have a slight after taste, so I cover it up with just 1 tsp fo sugar and can't tell the difference anymore. Hey, it's better than nothing. Pee pee steps.
