printer just out of warranty rather than scrap I thought I should be capable of trying a new print head to solve my problem ( machine saying take to a repair specialist ) on ringing around I was advised to scrap machine as new machines are not worth any repairs ?. New replacement print head did the job. you need to apply a little logic and a light touch to see how to take out old and then reverse the process to put in the new. very satisfying to get a result and save the thought of scanning a near new machine

There is always a great risk buying second hand part for printers. It does pay to be cautious !! This time there was no problem at all. Fitted the print head which after a little 'threshing' inside the printer soon died down. Now the printer is back to fully working - needless to say I am very pleased !!

The print head on a relatively new printer just blocked up and no amount of cleaning would allow it to work. Cost is a consideration but this replacement solved the problem. Worth a try.
