    Great little problem-solver

    This is a fully managed switch, just like the big expensive ones, but in a small case with just five ports. I use it for the port mirroring feature. When I want to see what is going over the wire from some computer I put this switch on its network cable and mirror the port to a port I have my laptop plugged into, with Wireshark running on the laptop. That way I can see all of the traffic without needing to mess with anything else. This switch can do many more cool things, just like the big boys, but without the high price.

    I have 3 so far - 5 x full GB, compact, fan less and remotely manageable. Can be daisy-chained or use SFP for long distance.

    Best Managed Switch for the Money

    Mikrotik makes some great products and they sell at prices far below the competition. I have 4 of the RB260GS and one of the older RB250GS switches running multiple VLAN's in my small business. They are Fast, reliable and flexible for any work-group switch requirements. Mikrotik supports them well with a plethora of documentation on their website.
