    Makes nice soya milk :)

I’m using this to make soya milk as I use lots and wanted to reduce the amount of packaging I throw away. It is easy to make soya milk using this - just soak beans overnight then put them in with clean water and press a button. Do have to seive but I don’t find it an issue. Get nice milk without all of the usual additives. Trying recipes for the soya pulp left over too :)

  • Most critical review

Awkward design and limited software functionality. Concerns about product longevity.

I'm an apologist of kitchen gadgets that allow one to save time and make healthy choices. When I seen a similar item in a US website, and its claims I knew I just had to get one. Here in the UK our choices are more limited, therefore I went with the Morphy Richards as it seems to have good reviews and it is affordable. Truth is, I ended up returning it. Not because the concept is flawed, but simply because it did no such thing in aiding in the kitchen, and instead it was more of an hassle. My main uses for this were soups and milks. Now I love oat milk, but it turns out its only good for cold oat milks. In such aspect this is no different to get a pot with cold water, add the oats and blend. Now I have the raw taste of oats, so therefore I couldn't use it, otherwise I would be using my ...

  • More than a soup pot!

For years I could not justify having a soup maker. I have lots of good pots and have always used them to make soup. After a daughter in aw crowed about hers, I weakened and bought this one and I'm very pleased with it. I still start my soup in a pot, sweating the onions, getting flavour out of spices and then tip the lot into the soup maker with raw veg and stock, put the lid on, choose an option, switch on and walk away!

  • Super souper

Although expensive, well worth the investment (Which recommended). More online recipes from Morphy Richards would have been useful, rather than repeating those in the instruction booklet. Original recipes very gloopy and thick, but with tweaking you can quickly adapt to your own taste and consistency. Bought one for a friend too and they are well impressed. Keep warm and reheat functions are invaluable. Easy to clean. Great for singles who don't want to make huge quantities nor want the hassle of all the washing up involved with soup making. Read lots of reviews beforehand and took note that cleaning the screws holding the blender in place was something to keep an eye on. After cutting up veg into small chunks and following the instructions, I was eating home-made soup within 1 hour ...

  • Made my cooking good!

First attempt at soup was a total success - no thought, experience or expertise and it was delicious. I'm still not quite sure what just happened...!
