The calendars were exactly as described, new. This seller could not have prepared them any better for shipping. They were wrapped in plastic and had more than one wrapping of cardboard around them. Then placed in an clasp envelope and taped. Marked "Do Not Bend." I will definitely order a calendar from him next year. 5 star seller.

    Complex flavors, simple recipes.

    This is currently my favorite cookbook. A friend made dinner on Christmas Eve for us, using Ottolenghi's recipes, and now I am hooked on it. Nothing has turned out badly. I even made some preserved lemons to keep in my frog for use in some of his recipes.

    The Next Challenge - One to add to the Library

    The title may be Simple, but the recipes are not for beginners. These delicious recipes are a bit involved and a newbee may find them daunting. As a whole, however, this is an excellent book to challenge those dedicated to plant based eating to stretch a bit more.
