This has nothing to do with formatting. They are manufactured to APPEAR to be 2TB, but this software detects the actual size. I urge all people buying USB / SD drives to test them with this software. Also, this seller tried to scam me a second time when I tried to return these, by providing a return label that was not paid for by the them, and was not trackable. Seller did however offer a partial refund for the mistake in advertising (Item description has subsequently been changed to reflect the drive as unbranded).
